Winter cricket

Souths Juniors enter teams in the Warehouse Junior Winter Cricket Competition in the Under 13 to Under 17 age groups, subject to numbers and subject to the availability of committee approved volunteers (e.g. team coach and team manager).  Blue Cards are mandatory for all volunteers.

Player age groups for Winter Cricket is the same as the Summer Cricket age groups.  Example: If a player played Under 13 in Summer, then they are Under 13 in Winter. Regardless if they have since turned 13.  September 1st is still the cut off date.

IMPORTANT: Players that are below the age requirement will need to be assessed and confirmed eligible by the Committee endorsed Winter Cricket Selection Panel.  No player is just accepted if they register for Winter Cricket.

ALL Players are required to Trial for Winter Cricket.  Grading is a requirement of the Warehouse competition, to assist with the draw format while also aligning to Souths Juniors player safety requirements. If you are interested you must nominate using the SJCC Nomination Form and return to secretary@southsjuniorcricket.org.au before the grading days in order to trial.
